home page

how may i get rid of msn as my home page..???
started to download ie8 and then decided against and it all went wrong from there. it booted plus net off
earlier on the plusnet site would not stay on the screen .. don't know what i did but it is obviously on at present. [ don't know whether will return if log off ]
home page is highlighted below " file edit view " etc and when hover > shows  "msn..."
"plus net "  at the top is highlighted but the rest is grey..

thankyou oldjim, it stayed the same so expect that will have  to reboot ????
would like to get it sorted as have a mechanic coming tomorrow.
. incidently what will happen if i cut the homepage  icon at the  top of the page...
it shows MSN ????
already have hefty expense with new boiler tomorrow too..
boy am i cheesed... better take the dog out before it rains again  thanks for replying

Open plus net page you want as the home page then do as oldjim says and click use current which should then put it as the home page click apply

ive allways done it this way. same for ie7 and 8

thanks to all and for text  on mob from pn.
seems that i was attempting to change something that was normal for IE8. also int connection fine too.
couldn't go back to 7 tho'  as it came up that a newer version was out.
not a lot diff from 7 i suppose.
