help please IP conflict

I am getting an IP conflict on 2 PC's since I started using the plusnet thomson router -I am not network orientated but though the DHCP should assign a dfifferent IP to each device on the network?
Anyhting I can do?
No settings changed on the router from standard
all devices connecting wirelessly via 11G apart from vodafone 3G repeater on network cable into port 4
Thanks in advance -

Re: help please IP conflict

Found the conflict - the router was seeing the Vodafone 3G repeater as one of the laptops - same ID and therefore giving it the same IP on ethernet 4 as the lappy on wifi!
anyone know why - and how to get around it? I have sorted it for now by unplugging the 3 G repeater - but now no 3G around the house 😞

Re: help please IP conflict

You could modify the DHCP to change the pool of IPs it allocates and then give the PCs fixed IP addresses from the freed numbers.
