Re: email down?

Seems to be working for me.  Sent from my Plusnet mail address to external mail address, received in about 3 seconds.

Re: email down?

Nothing that I can see, I've sent a few tests to my Plusnet addresses and they've all arrived near instantly. Have they bounced or just taking time to arrive?

Re: email down?

No they are not bouncing.  I haven't had any messages since about 3.30p.  The ones I sent to myself and also sent from my gmail account have not arrived either.

Re: email down?

Still nothing arrived.  I just had a thought, would this have anything to do with Bob Pullen if you know what I mean?

*ouch!*
Yes, it is something to do with me. We made a DNS switch on your account earlier on today and it looks like you've been removed from Postini before this had time to take affect. At the moment your email will be getting temporarily bounced Sad

Sorry about the hassle. We're looking into this now to see if there's anything we can do as opposed to waiting for DNS to catch up.

Re: email down?

Apologies, but this is now fixed.
It only affected people on Bob's list who just had their DNS changed.
Cheers

Re: email down?

Just to add to Lee's post, email sent since about 3:30pm will have been getting temporarily rejected with a 451 error. This shouldn't bounce back to the sender as the sending server should reattempt delivery later.
The problem was caused by the the mx.cores rejecting email from Postini.
The missing email should start to trickle through over time.

All back to normal.  It's been ironed out and that's what's important. Wink Wink
