eBay is driving me mad...

Has anyone else got this same problem?
When ever I got to ebay and look through the auction pages, IE freezes for say 10-20 seconds while it finishes downloading every image, flash object and banner ads etc. Sometimes eBay decides to stop and then send the rest of the data a bit later causing IE to basically hang and use 100% of my CPU.
It is VERY annoying and doesn't just happen on one computer. It happens on all of them.
Any ideas?
It seems that ebay pages have become so big and bloated IE is struggling.

Even the ones in the cupboard?

Have you tried Ebay on a different browser?

That depends on which ones you are talking about.
If you are replying to my last post about the cupboard those ones do not work - at all.
If you're referring to another older post about the 2 under the stairs, yes its the same on those too!

Re: eBay is driving me mad...

Have you got the web site checker thingy switched off? I've found that slows IE to a crawl

If you are looking at Computer cases they are big pictures that could slow it down

Have you ?
The only way I can get eBay to function anywhere near correctly is to use IE (I use Opera the rest of the time) ... when I queried this with eBay support the message was very clear : "We only support IE" ... funnily enough eBay have some sort of tie-up with Micro$oft ... so maybe okrzynska could try their support people (but good luck to him)

Re: eBay is driving me mad...

Yes I have, that is why I made the suggestion to try another browser.
I use Firefox as my primary browser, I have the Ebay Companion add on and it works fine. I use Ebay all the time.
Occasionally I will go to Ebay using Opera and that works ok for me too.
I only use IE for the Speedtester BT as it doesn't work for me in FF.

Both the UK and US sites are working well in Firefox 3 for me.

Re: eBay is driving me mad...

Still haven't made any progress with this issue so I'm thinking of a last ditch roll back or reinstall of the OS. Might try disabling some plugins too.
Its very annoying though
