Can anybody help - When opening e-mails with Word attachments, the attachments come through as a jumble of letters, numbers and signs. The system being used is Windows Mail with Vista system. I understand it could be a micro-soft problem.

I'd check the language your Word is using first, some of the very large number available can look very odd.

Hi,
Bit of a silly question, but do you have Word installed?
I've seen that when trying to open Word attachment in, for example, notepad.

You don't actually need Word, the viewer will do. It's a free download from Microsoft.
