dll system

the game ... broken sword .. the sleeping dragon ... froze after initial intro. on looking at system dxdiag it seems okay at 9  but system also says that that the file system dll is missing. there is a "o" opposite it,  told to reinstall  direct x and when i went to mircrosoft  they seem to be offering  10 for vista. can any-one help please? i played CSI 3 dimensions of murder without any difficulty. firefly2

thank-you fakesnake for the quick response. site shows 2 options. [1] update and repair all drives. [2] latest version directx. wondering what is best for my prob.  am only on option 1 bbyw therefore would it be best to do after 12 midnight?  200 minutes popped up from somewhere.  my knowledge is limited as you will have guessed. thanks  firefly2

you should only need to download the directx part, but here is the MS link may be safer. the file is not that big, unless on dialup.

hello. thank-you very much for the sites.opted for the second...part and repair and it has reinstalled the missing bits .. great.. i lowered the resolution and the game okay too... can you tell me what uniblu registry booster is please?? had a scan and it told me that i had loads wrong with the registry . 400 + actually.  hm !! thanks again . firefly2
