cell format in Open Office

Using open office, spreadsheet... I want to display time in a column of cells... as 14:00 but the default is showing 14:00:00
I have tried to change it,....but cannot get it to work using the toolbar or the "format" .. please can someone point me to the right thing to click on !

@shutter just tried with LibreOffice, select the cell range,select Format cells,Time and top of list is the HH:MM format
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
