can you help me connect my tablet please

I got a new tablet today to replace a faulty one.My only problem is I cant connect it to my plusnet router,I got a young lad to do it before but I didnt see him do it and he's away for couple of weeks,can you help me.Wi-fi is on ,I entered proper password on the router capitals,but it keeps coming back authorisation problem,why do I get this message,if I was to switch off the router then switch on will I lose my connection all together or any other suggestion,

You say that you entered the proper password on the router capitals
I don't understand what you did.
The first thing is
Can the tablet see the router when searching for wireless networks
Which router do you have

the letters on the router are in capital not lower case,yes wi fi is on and can see plusnet Wireless,security WPA/AWA2 PSK --signal good Thomson router

I suspect that you aren't using the correct password.

Grin thanks for the help,I couldnt follow everything,so I just went back to settings etc I know now where I went wrong though I had tried before I was entering my router password,then tried again the security key,this time it worked,dont know why it didnt work before anyway I got there in the end so I am up and running thanks for your help much appreciated Kiss
