Hi all
I'm hoping somebody can finally give me a definitive answer on port forwarding for my cameras. I have been trying for over 2 weeks now to port forward my cameras on the hub one router. I have read umpteen articles on assigning a static ip to the dvr and then port forwarding based on this static ip in the router. No matter whether I use dhcp/static ip in the dvr and router I am having problems then accessing internet pages. I either get a connection error then it reloads or doesn't or it starts but then I cannot process anything within further pages. It seems to me that there may be an ip conflict? I never had to port forward in the router previously. I have a ddns server set up and the settings are correct in the DVR. I have tried disabling dhcp in the router, then assigning a static ip for ipv4 connectivity, but when I switch router back on it cannot see my cameras which are connected via a static ip. The router wants me to renew the ip addresses on all devices after disabling dhcp but I do not know what this means or whether this will solve my internet problems. I cannot stream any tv services as it tells me the tv cannot connect to the internet, yet when I switch my cameras off everything then reverts back to normal. Can anyone help as I feel as I am going slowly ( but surely) mad and I am pretty sure the more reading I am doing the more confused I am becoming! I can see my cameras remotely from my phone on mobile data so I know the correct ports are open. I have even tried assigning the dvr into the DMZ reservation zone.
