building a media centre using a shuttle barebones?

Hi
This is my project for tail end of 2009.
I intend to include a blu ray drive of some description
An X-fi sound board
A TV tuner card to allow use as a PVR
A decent graphics card such as one from the Nvidia 8000 series
An i7 Core chip
Anyone done anything similar and can give me some advice on whether it'll accommodate all that and what you'd recommend in terms of quiet fans.

Nothing like limiting your options...  as my other option would have been a mac mini as it is practically silent and has good media servers.
Other option would be Linux running mythtv.

I'm thinking of doing something similar:
Shuttle/media pc style.
MythTV compatible.
Must be silent (or very quiet), preferably low power, and of decent spec.
Does anyone know if MythTV and *nix is happy with Bluray?  I should have a look at that.

I thought Blu-ray wasn't taking off?
Isn't it the new Betamax  Cheesy

Blu ray is doing just fine thank you  Smiley
I'm certainly doing my bit for it. It has about 4% of the market at the moment but it's still early days.

Before its demise I'd have put my weight behind HD-DVD (as I do like Toshiba kit) but alas it is no more so blu ray is my only option now.

Re: building a media centre using a shuttle barebones?

Can you actually tell the difference between blu-ray and DVD in normal film viewing?
I don't recall hearing any complaints about video tape when VHS was the only thing in town.  Cheesy
