attempting to repeat from thompson to linksys

hi
ages ago i bought a cable router off ebay thinking it was adsl compatible. i am having a few wireless issues with my PC the i stream from my pc to my playstation which is causing numerous issues over wireless. i am attempting to wirelessly repeat from my thompson TG585 v8 to a  linksys Router WRT120N to strengthen the signal from the master box downstairs to a router in my room an in all honestly ditch wireless and use the ethernet ports.
is anyone familiar with this type setup to be able to assist

If you want a wireless repeater you need to buy a wireless repeater.  A random router bought off eBay is unlikely to perform that function.  However if you can connect your two routers with an Ethernet cable you can get them to work together.

If you are trying to use the WRT120N as the far end receiver, then the answers probably no - unless you can find some third party firmware that supports Access Point Client Mode to put the router into bridge operation.

If you are using the WRT120N as a wireless N booster transmitter that is independent of the ADSL router's wireless access point, then this may help -
