a real dilemma and need to leave plusnet

Hello to everyone I have a real problem but want to say I am happy with plusnet. When I signed up for plusnet a year ago i asked if they would be doing parental controls through the router as talktalk, by etc all have and I was told that it was being looked into and would happen very soon. Well a year later and there is no sign of it and last year my 3 year old little girl was on my kindle looking at nursery rhymes and extremely explicit porn popped up thankfully I was sat with her but it really shocked me and scared me that that I might of not been there and that appeared!! I spent an hour and half on the phone to plusnet today and they were all great but could not help only to say there are no plans for parental controls anytime soon. Thing is I'm in a contract and will have to pay but I feel I was given the wrong information when I asked. Can anyone help? Xx

Set up your router to use OpenDNS https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/ with parental controls
This explains how to do it on the Plusnet router http://npr.me.uk/

Re: a real dilemma and need to leave plusnet

Thank you for the reply. I have looked and its very complicated for someone who does not know much about routers etc. I will try and see what I can do but I know that there is a lot simpler way of doing it as I was with talktalk and it was very easy to set up.  I think I will just pay the charge as plusnet tried their hardest to help but we're not able to.
