Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

The guy I spoke to told me that additional channels will be added in the upcoming months - I took the plunge anyhow.

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

I couldn't see any mention of it. Very strange for it not to be available.

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

Although the guy I spoke to couldn't be more specific - it does seem that BT Sport and the other IPTV channels BT have will come to pn - all he said was that pn is part of BT.

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

It's a bit disappointing that I can't use my own Youview box with this service, is this something that might change in the future?

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

No - that's where they make a lot of the profit.
I see that they charge separately for the box and the remote control.

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

I only got charged £57.99 - £50 for activation and £7.99 for postage - Youview+ box free.

The box looks subsidised to me. From the TV page, it appears that you pay just the delivery cost of the box (although there is a £50 activation on the YouView+ box). The monthly cost over 18 months looks like it includes the box.

The cost of the remote will be for a replacement....

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

Recording one show while watching other! This a joke! EETV give you 3 recording whilst watching other! Humax freetime give you two recording while watching third.
No sky sports , no bt sports add on.
It's a NO from me.

With my current YouView box I can record 2 at the same time on different channels.

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

Nah - my old youview from BT - the guy on the phone whom I placed the order with said I can record 2 things at the same time - where does it say only 1 at a time?

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

My Humax DTR-T2000 can record two at once, and sometimes allows me to watch a third live channel but sometimes doesn't. I presume it's something to do with how many/which multiplexes you're trying to tune into. The Humax has got RF loopthrough though so even when the Humax can't tune into a third channel I can always just use the TV itself.
Anyway, TL:DR, only one recording at a time is not enough!

Re: YouView "Coming Soon"?

I guess we need confirmation from a moderator in regards to this - I figured all YouView + boxes are the same?
