My YouTube has stopped working.
Or more exactly when I try to get my Android tablet YouTube app to control my Blueray i get a redirect to say that the app needs upgrading. I tried my Rasberrypi and the same thing
And PlayStation seems to be just offering the YouTube version I already have.
Most annoying. Can't find any activity on the web over this. What's going on?

They (Google) have dropped flash support so the apps need to be HTML5 now. My Sony TV app stopped working ages ago, although I never noticed as I don't use it 😉
Got an email from Sony about it couple of weeks ago, saying sorry they are NOT updating it, as it still works on BR etc.

@HMB I've checked and YouTube is working on my LG Blueray using the PITA entering the search letter by letter using the remote so I think the problem is with my Hudle2
Edit/ my Samsung 3 Android is working too its definitely the Hudle2 ( which I updated yesterday)

no, own goal by the people not planning on updating their client software.
moving from flash to html5 is clearly a move forward.

Indeed, the exhaust from my laptop doesn't feel like there's a jet engine in there with HTML5...

I suspected as much (but didn't actually check) as despite having flash turned off in my browser, youtube videos always played without a problem.. well for a while anyway. Now for some odd reason it's back to flash asking me to activate it (though admittedly, i previously didn't have flash installed).
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
