Yet another new computer for me

I'd like to have a PC (Linux compatible of course) built for me.
Can anyone recommend a suitable company that does this?
I'm looking for something like (as an example - taken from somewhere called www.computerplanet.co.uk)
Quote
Asus M2N68-AM 2000MT/s (NVIDIA 7025)
AMD Athlon II X2 250 2MB (2 x 3.0 GHZ)
Corsair 2GB PC-6400 800 MHZ (1 x 2 GB) (DDR2)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 - 1 GB- DVI/VGA/HDMI (XFX)
LG 22" (W2261VP) Widescreen TFT - HDMI/DVI-D/VGA - 2ms - (HD 1080p)
650W PSU

Total cost in the £500-ish region Smiley
Comments welcome.

Re: Yet another new computer for me

I've heard these people http://www.powerc.com/ are good ( not used them myself though! ). The AMD entry level configured similar to your spec comes out at £415 with no operating system.

My Debian desktop (base unit only) came from Power Computing and has been trouble-free for the couple of years I've had it. CCL Online are worth a look, too, if you're looking to buy without a pre-installed OS.

I can vouch for CCL. They are happy to sell you a box with no OS installed.

Try The Linux Emporium, http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/ . Thry tend to be a bit pricey but have a good reputation.

Re: Yet another new computer for me

They are pricey - but they seem to use quite pricey components... Smiley
Could be useful for components etc though.
I've actually ordered my PC though; although I have sent my order to one that I didn't intend to >:(.
Hope all turns out well.
I've spent hours going through different configurators etc - only to end up with something that is virtually the same price/configuration.
Despite all the good suggestions in this thread, I didn't actually taken any of them <stupid me>
I was going to choose the one closest to home - but have ended up not doing that.
They also stung me for 2% towards their credit card costs. Angry Angry
