Word Macro's can infect your machine

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/11/01/nymaim_malware_got_a_major_upgrade_says_verint/

So I thought I would check the Word Security Settings

Looks OK

So what are the Trusted Sources

Bloody hell - who made those trusted

This is one source http://download.cnet.com/windows/detong-technology/3260-20_4-10098037-1.html so will now see what I installed from Wondershare - seems to be a program for connecting my better half's mobile to the computer which didn't work - cheeky sods as I uninstalled it

Re: Word Macro's can infect your machine

Just removed them all and spent a further 10 minutes removing Wonderware from the Registry as it had got its claws in all over the place

Even then I had to delete two services using an elevated command prompt

Re: Word Macro's can infect your machine

In MS Office I had Hewlett Packard, Symantec and Verisign as Trusted. (an HP computer with Norton Security installed).

These days my default choice is LibreOffice and I have nothing trusted in that.
