We have some Windows Server 2008r2 servers which we run some of our software on, but is hosted by someone else. Tonight they have installed some Windows Updates and rebooted the server and now a number of our Windows Services are giving the following error when we try to start them:
Windows could not start the [Service Name] service on the Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
Anyone come across anything like this before, and have any idea how we might solve it? It is happening on both servers.
Many thanks

I've just managed to get it back up and working. I've been uninstalling the updates on one of the servers for the last couple of hours (with each one needing a reboot which takes ages!). The very last one I came to that was installed from last night fixed it! I've uninstalled that one update on the other server and it fixed it staight off!
Thanks
Phil

I don't think so. It was KB2868626. Removing it worked on both servers.
Thanks
