Assuming you have Linux/Windows in partitions on the same disk drive and use the internet when booted in Linux is there any way that anything in the windows partition could access or be accessed via the internet ?
I assume the answer is no but would be grateful if someone could confirm this.

If the windows file systems (drives) are not mounted within Linux then they do not exist as far as any internet access in concerned. Your system would need to be compromised and them gaining root access before they can mount the windows file systems.
If they are mounted then they could be accessible if your system was compromised or someone has access to your system remotely.

I assume you are questioning if a M$ app installed in the M$ partition could use the running Linux partition to access the net, if so then NO. If you have the partition mounted in Linux then theoretically a running app in Linux could access it from the net but not a virus/malware from the M$ partition.
E.g. you could use a virus scanner on line booted from Linux, using it to scan the M$ partitions (If they run under Linux ?) but nothing can run from an unmounted partition or access any files on it without root access.
