Windows 8 Is Coming In 2012!!

According to the latest roadmap from Microsoft, it would appear that Windows 8 will arrive sometime in 2012. This would follow a three year product cycle that would keep it in line with Vista and Windows 7 releases.

Erm yeah id say so strat,i will just be geting used to 7 which i like very much and another one's on the horizon already,man i must be like 200 years old in pc life as things just move too fast.i was trying oult linux but decided it was not satisfactory for me after a play around for a while and the fact they bring out a new flavour roughly twice a year gets annoying,i just want one operating system that will last forever all be it a new theme or layout now and then when things seem to get tiring.
However from what i gather microsofts always two operating systems ahead of the current release!!

Redmond is churning out ANOTHER OS?!?!?!
Flipping eck, no sooner have you just installed all your software on one they go and release another with yet more bugs to live with.
The rate they're going at it they can't be thoroughly testing these OS's and so with that in mind I'm sticking with XP.

X.P is good for another few years so yeah,but windows 7 is a vast improvement over xp and much morer securer,but yeah i agree i mean ive just bought a pc that can handle windows 7 and then i hear this,still i dont think it will be a huge leap from 7 to 8,probably just some tweaks and eyecandy and a few improvements.
I liked xp but its past its sell by date,you can have windows seven and even use xp mode with it if you desire but making the change to seven is good,and once you get it you wont look back,of course this comes down to your own personal choice aswell,as i said xp is good for a few years yet

I've got 2 kids and 2 laptops.
One is a single processor 32 bit with XP on it and dead slow.
The others is a 64 bit dual core, brand new, wide screen (medium speed) Windows 7 with 6 times the memory.
Guess which one gets shut down when the XP machine becomes available?
Personally, I don't use either.
