Re: Windows 7 - if you really have to have it

How is it an upgrade if it's a new computer?

There's always one Roll_eyes
You buy the PC now with Vista and 'upgrade' to 7 when it's released.
Edit: Thanks Jim. Maybe he'll get it now it's in stereo Roll_eyes Wink Smiley

By "over" I mean on the box that currently has the RC. I will totally wipe and reinstall from scratch.  Wink

Re: Windows 7 - if you really have to have it

Very sensible - my only doubt is whether to retain my dual boot with Vista using a multi partitioned disk or do a clean install on the second hard drive.

Home Premium now out of stock at both Amazon and Ebuyer (Ebuyer told me they were unlikely to get any more) Comet have some.... Move fast if you want the pre order price folks.  Shocked

Re: Windows 7 - if you really have to have it

Clearly they are playing silly nits, when I tried to order from them earlier it said no longer available! ebuyer only had 65 in stock and they had gone before I could complete my order. Sounds like Amazon have secured some more.

The special £50 pre-order price is limited in stock. General pre-order, which begins in August some time for prices of £80+, won't be limited as you'd expect.

Re: Windows 7 - if you really have to have it

Even this morning it didn't have the £50 price either - I thought that was Amazon getting it wrong - then again I don't care as long as I get it for what I paid  Cool

Re: Windows 7 - if you really have to have it

I can see some of these appearing on ebay after the offer finishes!
