I am finding a problem with reinstating two computers with identical characteristics using the disc and text of the router of the general procedure. All has gone well (and Internet works) but one feature that is very useful is missing. This is covered in the literature in some detail in a section for Windows 7 using Control Panel. (I have Pro version). The text is called "Obtain an IP address/DNS server address automatically" When I ran this lot it all went well but in Windows XP years ago. The detail of the route to be taken does not coincide with the paragraphs in the Control Panel exactly and I have not yet found what I do next! What it does it lets the machine to look at the http:192.168.1.1 to list all the current doings of the router and insert a short cut ikon on the main display for instant access.
