Windows 10 Threshold 2

A significant update to Windows 10 called 'Threshold 2' (Th2) has now been released to Insiders and should go on general release soon. It changes the Windows 10 version number to 1511 (year & month). Supposedly it contains a lot of bug fixes and a little bit of visual restyling, which you may or may not notice.

Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
I've just had a massive update but I find I'm still on 10586, although that does not show on the desktop anymore???
As you were! A reboot shows:-
Version is 1511 - Build is 10586!

Weird, it appeared on one of my systems as an update, alongside something else, but never got applied and disappeared!
Still on 10240. W10 Pro that system.

No sign of it on other systems.

Just took several hours to install on my little netbook. I wonder if it kills your ability to roll-back to your previous version of Windows (if you are still within the 30 days when this is supposed to be possible)?

If I recall what I read correctly the update will not install on a machine on which Windows 10 has been installed within the previous 30 days.

Just run the install of build 10586 and it kicked my CPU-Z off the PC as 'incompatible with this version of Windows 10'.
I installed a fresh copy which works ok.

Took 4 hours to complete update yesterday on my HP laptop
Does seem to be running ok

Yes, same here, bit bemused by that. It wasn't an old version, just not the very latest.
