Win7 and System Restore

Help! I've found how to restore to an earlier time, but not how to create a new restore point.
Advice please.
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Win7 and System Restore

Ever since Vista, the Help and Support offered by Windows will answer most of these queries.  This is from the top answer to a Help and Support search on 'create restore point'.
Click to open System.
In the left pane, click System protection.  If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the System Protection tab, and then click Create.
In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click Create.

Thanks Smiley
I am finding 7 a task to get used to: could be a case of Anno Domini Wink

If you were used to XP then you were used to the fact that Help and Support was no earthly good, but since Vista it has actually been quite respectable and is now well worth consulting.

Re: Win7 and System Restore

easiest way to find anything on 7 is to type what your looking for into the start menu, start menu search is a life saver, windows 7's control panel has absolutely no logic to it at all
