Hi,
Did not go the vista route and am still happily using XP. A few of my prog do not run under vista so I am wondering if anyone has used the XP Mode offered by MS for Win7.
Ran the Win7 upgrade advisor with a clean bill of health - appreciate I would need to do a clean install, etc. It advised all okay as long as I use XP Mode.
Any views please ?
Peter

What programs?
There are several "compatibilty" modes anyway in Vista (and 7) that enable most things to run.
I played with the XP virtual machine in W7 Beta and it seemed to work OK, remembering you have to maintain it with updates etc..
My "production" system doesn't have it though as I don't need it.

Hi Peterworks,
As HPSauce says there's an XP compatibility mode available in Windows 7 (and vista) - while I can't voich for the vista one, the one in windows 7 has run things fine for me (GTA San Andreas being one).

Matt,
Are you using the XP Mode which isn't available on Home Premium or just the standard XP Compatibility mode
