Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

Win 7 query "WPOCIA.EXE"
Have laptop running win7; must say at moment prefer my
laptop running Vista  Cry
Do other Win7 Users see wpocia.exe in processes, as it regularly hogs over 70%]of CPU
resources, but googling does not show anything by this name?.

Re: Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

If you right click on the process and select - view file location where is it
I don't have that process running on W7 64 bit

Re: Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

Don't have that file anywhere on my Win7 x64 PC so I would say its not part of windows. Could be something from your PC manufacturer, part of some software you have installed, or a virus/anti-virus that generates random file names.
as Oldjim said, find out where the file is stored and report back. What happens if you right click and end it?

Re: Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

Are you sure as DirectDraw isn't a separate utility it is part of the operating system - try running dxdiag
When you right clicked on it where did it say the file is located
Which graphics driver are you using

Re: Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

Ran dxdiag and all seemed normal.
At what point do I right click?Huh
Closing down process frees up the cpu, and seems to have no
adverse effect.

Re: Win 7 query (wpocia.Exe)

Like this - just put the mouse cursor over the name, right click and this is what you get
Properties might give a bit more information as well
