Does it matter, what do I gain other than interference from other stations around me ?

And those speedtests are representative of all times and all amounts of traffic on other channels?
You're right, the choice of channel does not matter, and neither does a speedtest result. Just pick any number you like with no regard for anything else.

So why do people even tell others to try another ch then @ejs eh... lordy lord.
Thats what works best for me, I don't see why I need to waste any more time trying to show my point of view with YES repeatable results from my point of view of course.
Edit: To be clear.
"Does it matter" Does it matter where I < put my > WiFi if that is what works best for me!
