Wifi Calling on Hub One - how to open ports

Hi,

I have recently installed my new Hub One after intermittent issues with my old Plusnet router.  Now I have problems with Wifi Calling on my iphone dropping out mid call or just not be available even though wifi and internet connections are good at the time.

Apple website indicates Wifi Calling uses ports UDP 500 and 4500 so how do I open these ports on my Hub One?  Both myself and my wife use wifi calling on EE as we are in a rural poor signal area - so I need the ports to be open rather than forwarded to a particular device.

Can anybody help with this?

Before you open the ports, a quick check might be to make sure that the SSIDs for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are named different as some Apple products have issues when they are both the same name. If you have already tried and discounted this then no problem.

I don't have the Hub One so not best placed to offer advice about port opening.

I too am on EE, and have a iPhone but have not needed to open any ports, as above separate the SSID's and don't sync them and see how you get on.

Hi Guys,

I've disabled 5Ghz so there would be no conflict, but still have these intermittent wi-fi calling issues.

Out of interest what iPhone are you using, I have a 5S

I have a 6s, with the latest EE config, it got update a couple of weeks ago.
