WiFi Internet Radio

I'm considering getting a wifi internet radio, does anyone have any experience of them or any recommendations?

Re: WiFi Internet Radio

Yes, I have three Logitech Squeezeboxes around the house.
They will either:
a) connect to my library of MP3s on one of my computers (which needs to run Squeezebox Server and/or iTunes), or
b) (as I mainly use them) to listen driectly to Internet radio stations, without relying on any of my computers being on, by connecting them to mysqueezebox.com.  In this case, you don't even need a computer, just a router!
The software is all free after you have the hardware, from the Logitech site.

Re: WiFi Internet Radio

Thanks, can you use the BBC 'Listen Again' service with the Squeezebox?

Re: WiFi Internet Radio

Yes, certainly, if you use a local computer to run SqueezeBoxServer, then BBC iPlayer (radio) is available as a free plug-in download.
If you want to run Squeezebox(es) without a local server on your network, then you'd need to search the (very helpful) Squeezebox forums about that...  I think it's been done, but it's certainly easier when using your own local computer as Squeezebox Server.
