Why can't I see this file

I saved a picture to C: by mistake using FastStone and explorer doesn't show it - why
Note a search gives these results - second picture - and clicking on the one with the IE8 icon gives File not found

What happens if you ask Explorer to show hidden files and protected operating system files?

It's just trying to protect you from those nasty jpg's 
Other than that no idea.
