Which DirectX have I Got?

Viewing the W7 Performance Information log I get the following for the graphics:
Quote
Display adapter type ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
Total available graphics memory 1919 MB
       Dedicated graphics memory 512 MB
       Dedicated system memory 0 MB
       Shared system memory 1407 MB
 Display adapter driver version 8.681.0.0
 Primary monitor resolution 1920x1200
DirectX version DirectX 10

Running the DirectX Diagnostic tool I get:
Quote
Time of this report: 12/22/2009, 02:17:10
      Machine name: MIKESPC
  Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)
          Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: System manufacturer
      System Model: System Product Name
              BIOS: BIOS Date: 06/29/09 20:07:07 Ver: 08.00.15
         Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 940 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
            Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3328MB RAM
Page File: 2477MB used, 4174MB available
       Windows Dir: C:\Windows
   DirectX Version: DirectX 11
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
   DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
    DxDiag Version: 6.01.7600.16385 32bit Unicode

So which is correct.. DirectX 10 or DirectX 11?

Re: Which DirextX have I Got

AFAIK DirectX 11 comes with Windows 7 as standard, so I would hedge my bets towards that.
Though wonder if your card isn't DX11 compatible so you have DX11 drivers but reports as DX10 as it can't use all the features?

Re: Which DirextX have I Got

Just tried to find that information about my graphics card but failed - a few tips please. - found it and my 8800GT also has Dx10 because that is all it supports  Embarrassed
However as part of trying to find it I ran the performance check with the attached result.
Note I have an E6750 Core2duo processor, 8800GT graphics and 4GB ram - the reason for the poor memory report appears to be this from the Task Manager
Physical Memory
Total 4094
Cached 2633
Available 2965
Free 387
So the fact that Windows has cached a load of memory means I haven't enough  Crazy
Also the boot partition has 63.3GB free out of 97.6GB  Crazy
A reboot fixed everything - it looks as though using sleep mode continuously messes up the system performance rather badly

Re: Which DirextX have I Got

That is the one that says I have Dx11 unlike my graphics card which only supports Dx10 - see edit above

Re: Which DirextX have I Got

My theory could be correct then, the machine has dx11 but as the card only supports the features of 10 that's all it uses.

Re: Which DirextX have I Got

That seems to be the most logical conclusion. I checked with Saphhire's site and it states the 4850 is DirectX10 compatible.
