Will have been on some s/ware you installed as one of the options; I always refuse them.

Try running Malwarebytes, get rid of them unless you, and it sounds like you didn't, DLed them deliberately

I have sorted it

It would appear that this is something added by ieSpell (and possibly others) which I uninstalled a long time ago

To get rid of them I actually had to edit the registry where they were under menuext

Just to add - although I did it myself one of the links by @Casey also showed how to do it

I always find it best to remove any s/ware using free prog "Advanced Uninstaller"; it scans registry for all those odd places that s/ware may have left traces.
