What is the max size of an email and what is the current size of the storage?

PlusNet
What is the max size of an email and what is the current maximum size of the storage?
Why is there not a notification or graph of amount of storage used / available, as with other providers ?
Can we have one please.

I'd also like to see a size per email column in the account summary.

You control this by the settings in the email client you are using.

So I assume that you mean you are using Plusnet Webmail for the client. If so both systems can be set by you to display the size of the email.
Edit: and with RoundCube you can see the total usage for each folder.

The maximum size of an email is 100MB minus overheads:
bpullen>telnet relay.plus.net 25
220 avasout04 smtp relay.plus.net
ehlo avasout04
250-avasout04 hello [84.93.217.27], pleased to meet you
250-HELP
250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN
250-SIZE 104857600 <--- This is the maximum allowed file size
250-PIPELINING
250-8BITMIME
250 OK

We ask that you keep the contents of your mailspace below 1GB.

Because customers' mailboxes do not have a hard quota configured on the server.

Why doesn't it like it? I've just send an email from Roundcube using Camino?

Re: What is the max size of an email and what is the current size of the storage?

Basic webmail is fine with Camino
Advanced keeps telling me cookies are not enabled, even when they are !!

However, I've just edited Camino exceptions list, and now it's fine with Advanced webmail !!
I'll bookmark bar the Advanced option now, thanks

The maximum size of an email is 100MB minus overheads:

Worth commenting that that is the limit after encoding. In practice it means a maximum attachment size of around 85MB.

How can I keep track of how much data is in my "mailspace" so that I don't go over 1GB? Given that I have lots of folders on the server and use IMAP, the only way I can think of is to add up the sizes of every folder there.  Isn't there an easier way?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/extra-folder-columns/ is the best I can do and I also have a number of folders and use IMAP - but you still have to add them up.

The new Webmail platform will tell you folder size but only on a per folder basis. We provide plenty of warning before taking any measures against customers whose mailspace exceeds the limits in the AUP.

If you need to share large files with another person have a look at dropbox.com or sugarsync.com
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
