What is the ISPA 2011 and TTBB trials all about

we have just had a load of mysterious post yesterday about these two trials

I have extensively searched, including the link from Matt_2k34 and nothing comes up, the blog is not on any index
What is being hidden from us the PN forum readers?

The email is progressively going out to customers but given that there is a severely limited number of places on the trial it may or may not be gong out to all the customers.
I have no idea how they decided the order the emails were sent out or indeed how many.
There may even, if someone was very clever, be feedback from those registering to the mailing software effectively saying - we have enough volunteers now so don't send any more emails otherwise we will have a load of users installing software for no advantage or reason.
Answers to that will have to wait until the staff come on board.
Note that the first the moderators knew about the email was when I received mine

Cheeky - I got an email and was probably one of the first.
Just to add - I won't be taking part for various reasons one of which is that I don't want my computer loaded with crappy software

Can hardly complain at what appears to be random emailing. Its not like PN will want everyone on it, there is such a thing as too large a sample

Uhh, What?  Plusnet picks a sample of customers, and you throw your toys out of the pram because your not the first invited?

basically not supported, the application is a little... flakey, even in the environment it was meant for 😛

I'm running this trial and now find that any P2P application or Skype instantly crashes my machine, how wonderful.!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else finding this, I just hope I can get it off cleanly.

Cant say ive had any issues Johnboy with "P2P apps", more specific may help? its not exactly the most efficient so something like Vuze (Java based, which is also abit resource hungry) may not enjoy running the app if your machines not got that much grunt.
Failing that, it should remove cleanly - direct issues with the app like that can be raised on the TBB forums
