What happened to all the "raves" for Ubuntu 11.04?
Since it was released today I thought some one would have posted about how great ( ;D) unity is 
Or is everyone keeping there heads down for a different distro (Mint anyone? Will probably have Gnome 3 but may not - not seen any comments yet)

Try bit-torrent - it took me about 20 mins for 600MB.
I will wait for my Ubuntu "apt-cacher" server to download all the images overnight so these large downloads don't eat into my 'paid for' broadband usage 
I wouldn't bother (unless you intend to use a small netbook).

I am more interested in the new power saving features in the server edition, as I run several Ubuntu servers 24/7 and saving a few more Watts from the electricity bill will be a welcome improvement 
Would you run a server on bleeding edge software?

I'm waiting for Ubuntu 11.10 via live CD to see which way to jump.
I have upgraded one PC to 11.04.
One user switched straight to standard Gnome.
The other user is still on the mobile phone desktop (Unity).
If I can find out how to run Unity but:-
1) Disabling the "Global menu"
2) Enabling proper scrollbars
3) Hiding the clumsy toolbar thing
4) Getting a proper start menu to work
then I might be encouraged to use Unity.

I ran a desktop PC with the Unity desktop for about two weeks and just didn't get on with it at all on my 22inch 1600x1200pixel monitors. 
I then changed the same machine to boot to the 'Classic' desktop and felt right at home again.
However, 11.04 in this mode felt a touch slower than 10.10, so I then added a dual-boot with 10.10 to compare speeds, and 10.10 is still a little quicker.
To be fair most Ubuntu releases seem a bit clunky for the first few weeks and tend to get faster and smoother with the usual updates.
I still haven't quite had the time to build my new Ubuntu 11.04 server to see whether the power saving features do anything worthwhile, but I hope to have this done before the end of June.
So my conclusion so far is that -
- 10.04 'Desktop' is very reliable with least quirks.
- 10.04 'Server' very good but I prefer 10.10 'Server' as that has later versions of some applications, better hardware support, and boots much faster.
- 10.10 'Desktop' has noticeably better hardware support and is fastest to boot, but has some very minor annoyances.
- 10.10 'Server' I am VERY happy with.
- 11.04 'Unity' I just don't use my computer in the way it tries to force me to.
- 11.04 'Classic' I would happily use everyday IF I didn't know that 10.10 was slightly faster on my hardware.
- 11.04 'Server' Not tested yet, but if the new power saving features work then I will upgrade all my machines immediately.

I've discovered how to do 1, 2
For #3, auto-hide is acceptable-ish
There seems to be a ppa to deal with #4 - but I haven't tried it.
