I have W7 Home 64 bit installed )from the Upgrade disc) and have just purchased W7 Pro 64 bit from Software4Students.
Rather than having to re-re-install from the new disc does anyone know if I can just use the 'Enter an upgrade key' from Windows anytime upgrade in Control Panel?

I realise that this is a bit late but...
Yes, you should be able to just enter your new key (I've done this with my netbook which came with Home Basic). It should then prompt you to connect to Windows Update to download whatever isn't in Windows 7 Home before rebooting.

Cheers.
I've now reconsidered and decided I may as well do a clean install.
Although the current Home edition is an Upgrade (from XP) and the Pro is also an upgrade I can't see I'd meet any issues.
Last few times I had to re-install W7 back in June/July I did a reformat first and all wa ok.
