I've been using Voiptalk since June but have found my Plusnet monthly useage going up from the old level of about 2GB to 10GB last month! I don't use the phone that much either for incoming or outgoing calls - perhaps 2-3 hours per month.
When I looked at my useage statistics it seems that most of my useage is voip, but strangely a fair bit of that is at night, during the free hours. This suggests that something is amiss. I know no-one is on the phone at night and my router is turned off between 1am and 6am!
I'm using a Fritz!Box Fon WLan router, which carries the calls to normal phones. The Fritz!box has data on useage. Oddly it gives even higher figures than Plusnet's - 316MB yesterday vs Plusnet quoted 255MB, including 74MB night (free) usegage.
Any ideas on what I should be looking for to work out the problem, or any tips as to how to keep useage down?
Thanks
Colin
