Virus

I keep receiving notification that viruses are on my computer.  Have done the scan and am advised that security is there but still notifications are being received.  Also McAfee webadvisor pops up now and again.  How do I make sure I am I am secure?

can you provide a screen shot of what this notification looks like?
It could be a fake one to get you to install something nasty.
