I just installed and ran a scan with Avast Anti Virus.
It came up with numerous threats all of which were desribed as high risk
I was able to move all to the vault except one
Its in C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
It says it cant move it to the chest saying Error: There is not enough space on the disc(112)
That is rediculous because there is 389GB free on C; drive
The threat is described as Win32:Alureon-PS
I'm tempted to delete MEMORY.DMP as I know this can be regenerated but I'd like to be sure before doing so
Could anyone please advise
Thanks

Alureon is a rootkit (a very well-concealed form of computer malware) and the recent versions I have seen all infect the boot sector. You'll probably need to scan the hard drive on another computer to get rid of it.
