Video editing software?

I've taken a couple of vids indoors on my G4, but a bit too dark.

Can anyone advise me the best/easiest way to adjust/edit this please?

Edit.

Don't understand why the title is showing "software for Mac"

That isn't what i typed Embarrassed

Re: Video editing software?

@foxleybob - If it is a Mac then there is the iMovie software that comes with it. I asked a similar question myself for editing Dash Cam footage and I was told of this (having removed it from my Mac as I thought it was a player and not an editor). If its not for Mac then other recommendations will follow.

Re: Video editing software?

Here's what I use for editing...and it's free, not easy to use though but once you master it gives great results.

VSDC Free Video Editor

By the way, make a back up of video and use that to practice with, then you won't ruin the original. Thumbs_Up

Re: Video editing software?

@foxleybob     Avidemux 2.6   free...   http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/

Click on "downloads" and scroll down for your O.S.  download.... Linux, Mac, Windows... etc etc...

load video

set output format..... ( last choice left pane)   default is AVI Mux

click Video on top toolbar

select Filter

Select Colours

double click Contrast in the menu pane

move the slider under the square to view the video... adjust the contrast and brightness as necessary..

click OK bottom right

click "close"  on "filter" window

Click > on the player to run ... then "save" or "save as"...

You can chop bits using the  [A     marker at start of edit  and the  B]  to end the edit...

your original is kept in the original location... you are using a copy...  when saving rename it as "XYZ  Edited" or whatever to distinquish it from the original

Re: Video editing software?

@foxleybob - I think the name of the original post was changed by the auto complete when you created the post and maybe you didn't notice it. In fact it may well be the title of the post I made regarding editing software. Grin

Re: Video editing software?

Strange the title has changed correctly this time.

Magic or Mod intervention I ask myself Grin
