Using my Vodafone Nokia6300 as a modem

I have been using my Orange Nokia6230 as a modem for my PDA for years, and have had no problems. However, I am now trying to use a Vodafone Nokia6300 with a laptop, and am unable to get a connection. The phone does connect to GPRS when I simply browse using only the phone.
I have been able to pair the two Bluetooth devices together, but the phone doesn't connect to GPRS when I try to view websites on the laptop. I assume that I need to enter some settings to the laptop to get it to tell the phone to connect to Vodafone GPRS, but I have no idea what to enter, or where. I'm a "PAYG" customer if that makes any difference, and using WinXPHome-SP2.
I'm sure the answer's obvious, but I can't figure it out!
If anybody can help, I'd appreciate it.
