User Account Control - Windows 7

This isn't a gripe about it just that I am puzzled
I noticed in the bottom right bar a warning and when I clicked on it - it said "You need to restart your computer to disable UAC"
Now the thing is that I didn't change the settings so presumably one of the software updates did it
I have re-enabled it but I am concerned that something could have switched it off without me knowing.
Any thoughts

Re: User Account Control - Windows 7

I remembered someone recently mentioning Microsoft hadn't yet fixed some methods to defeat UAC on anything less than the latest version of Win 10.

Re: User Account Control - Windows 7

Worrying
Am now running a full virus scan
I did get an odd popup which I clicked on OK  Embarrassed as I assumed that it was from an existing program
The only one I updated recently was NetWorX
