Useful sites for PC Enthusiasts

I thought it was probably about time I asked this question seeing as though I am constantly on this forum asking question after question, driving everybody mad  Wink
Can anyone recommend web sites for the PC enthusiasts like myself who don't have a huge amount of knowledge but would really love to learn more about technical stuff etc.
I am a techno/gadget geek at heart and I would love to keep up with the latest stuff as it were....

Here's two...
http://www.tek-tips.com/index.cfm
http://www.experts-exchange.com - you will need to register to view the answers (and a number of years ago, the host name was changed from expertsexchange.com) Grin

You also have to pay a subscription for this site, which IMO isn't worth it.

Are you sure that still applies?
I had my Google search page customised to suppress results from Experts Exchange, to avoid wasting my time. Then I later realised that I could use Adblock Plus (in Firefox) to unhide the hidden parts of their web pages, but then I'm sure I read somewhere that they had given up trying to hide stuff.
So, if you look now, the "solutions" should not be hidden any more, but you have to scroll down the page a bit.

Thanks for the links.
I am thinking of a more general site which talks about basic technology in simple terms.

Re: Useful sites for PC Enthusiasts

try youtube and google for videos.  http://hilaroad.com shows simple experiments and if you search on science among the videos, there's a wealth of material available.  i watch a lot of stuff i don't understand on the grounds that some of it will filter in.

Good one over here: http://www.about.com/compute/
It's an American site but a lot of stuff is still pretty relevant.

And of course there is always http://computer.howstuffworks.com/ a subset of www.howstuffworks.com

Re: Useful sites for PC Enthusiasts

http://www.fixya.com/ [Great name] is good for fixes etc of all sorts of technical (not necessarily computer related things).
Very American biased though.
