Usage query

Hi
Being new to Plusnet  I have just checked my usage and was surprised to see usage against streaming. On further searching I see it's for multimedia TV, movies or music files. I don't do any of these things on my laptop so an explanation would be helpful.

Re: Usage query

I've not checked the amount but if it's only small then I really wouldn't worry, there should be an explanation on the usage page about background traffic and that some can be identified as a different type of traffic.

Re: Usage query

Chris
I see that you are able to view exactly what has been streamed, can you look at my usage recently please, as 60gb has been used, and sometimes it's more than 1 gb at nighttime, and I don't get what may be using it. Seems very large though. I know I downloaded updates during the day in one week, but can this be incorrect?
Doesn't seem right, don't watch much on iptv or download anymore, so interested to see what it was.
Thanks

If you are using Windows PCs install http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/ to monitor how much you are using.

Hi,
I noticed > 2GB being used in a short time, a few nights running (this was a number of months ago).  I realised that this was due to a Remote Desktop Connection to my PC at work - when the screen saver kicked in, it was effectively streaming video!  Easily solved by stopping the screen saver.
