Upgrading to Wireless from PlusNet Broadband Premier Plan 1

Is it possible?
Also, is it possible to get more for my money (£21.99) than just 2MB Broadband, we got this plan a few years ago, are there better deals now?
Regards,
Ben Coles.

Up to 8MB is available on your existing account for free.
Just go to http://max.plus.net/
Also there is no reason why you can't use wireless on your existing account.

But before you do that check out what speed you could get at www.kitz.co.uk
Use the "Broadband Availabilty Checker" and enter your phone number and postcode.
If you only get a "little" more it's probably not worth bothering with due to the risks of instability/variation with "Max" DSL.

If you can provide the noise margin and attenuation from your existing connection we can make an educated guess of the likely gain. If you are on 2Mb fixed speed and were provisioned at that it is very likely that you will do a lot better given the conservative assumptions under which BT allowed you to have a 2Mb connection

Re: Upgrading to Wireless from PlusNet Broadband Premier Plan 1

You could move to one of the BBYW plans(Option 2 and above come with a wireless router - you'd need to request it and pay £6.99 p+p).
If ADSL Max doesn't work out you can be put back onto a fixed 2Meg service but stay on the BBYW product.
As jelv has said though, you can use wireless with any package - however you'd need to buy a wireless router if you stayed on your current package.
If you ask I'm sure Jameseh or another comms rep will be able to tell you what your usage has been like and what options are best for you!
