Looking at that is pointless for the new products, the colours on Extra Pro will not exactly match Unlimited

Re: Unlimited Traffic Shaping on Usertools

Split off to its own topic and moved to a more appropriate board
Please do not clutter up the Announcement Thread with questions about things which are not under the control of Plusnet and in any case the question has already been answered as stated in reply 3

Re: Unlimited Traffic Shaping on Usertools Product Comparison

Two lines (VoIP and Gaming) will be blue, the rest green though since not all protocols are Gold some greens will be darker than others. Nothing will be yellow or red because nothing is rate limited. In case of doubt that means all protocols are line speed.
The official information is on Plusnet's website here http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/download_speeds.shtml.

Re: Unlimited Traffic Shaping on Usertools Product Comparison

Look like I have to Add On Pro along with Plusnet Unlimited to get maximum speed for P2P. I think Plusnet Unlimited should be maximum speed because of no FUP and will be line speed 24/7.

Re: Unlimited Traffic Shaping on Usertools Product Comparison

that's the traffic management queue not a speed restriction, i have seen p2p hit line speeds at all times of the day so there is no speed restriction.

From my understanding; you will hit line speed with P2P on unlimited as long as you're not trying to Skype someone at the same time (for example) when the Skype gets priority due to the general perception that a conversation is slightly more important than a download.  Thus when you finish your conversation; you will regain the 0.2kb/s that you previously lost whilst on the phone.
The different protocols will run as fast as possible at any given time although your net result will vary depending on what you are doing - you can't seriously expect to download Ubuntu 12; play Assassins Creed & speek to your Aunty Flo in Sydney without either experiencing some buffering or a slow down somewhere along the line can you?
