Unable to get into my account with I Explorer 8

Hello
I have a strange problem
I have the main computer upstairs  and a lap top downstairs
I am on broad band and have just re installed everything on the new main computer

I am on Internet explorer 8 win xp sp2
When I access my account  on the laptop there is no problem  but on the new one upstairs it keeps saying  wrong user name or password.
I have never had  this problem before.  All other websites which require a log on work fine on both machines. If I try Firefox  as a browser in the main machine it works !
Everything used to work fine with Explorer 8 I had to use firefox for example to get into this forum
What is wrong? Any help appreciated as I don't want to use firefox  to be honest.
I did ring up twice last night.

It is possible that IE8 has corrupted the password and keeps trying to use the corrupted one
Unfortunately there is no method of only deleting one password - it is all or nothing
To look at individual passwords you will need to use a third party program as they are stored as encrypted in the registry

Install Firefox - you will also gain from the security standpoint.
