Why not just use https://duckduckgo.com/ as your search engine?
It has advantages...

Why not use Firefox in its native state? I've just updated to FF30 and everything's fine...

I`m running FF30.0....... it seems that one of the things it did was to mess up the other stuff I had  !.... but all fixed back to normal now.....
