Well I took delivery of my Thunderbolt monitor earlier and now have it plumbed in, and it's already made my life easier as I don't have to toggle back and forth from editor to terminal etc.
But I have noticed that due to the differences in resolution the clarity of the new monitor is no where near as good as the 5K mac. But the most annoying thing about it is the fact that the viewing area is not the same height so I'll need to lift it to match the mac, but hardly the end of the world.

Wow you must have a massive desk!
I have a 20" (1600x900) and a 22" (1680x1050) both at roughly the same height. That and the laser take up most of my Ikea desk.
Been running dual head for over two years now, since I got given some free monitors and stands for them.

Blimey and i thought i was doing well having a 19inch widescreen and two 17inch squares as backup
That reminds me... I need to get a dual head card into the back of this machine to get those in use for a triple monitor system...
