Toslink audio connections.

I currently have my Sky+ box connected to my digital amp via a standard toslink optical cable. I have quite a nice amp and speakers and would like to also connect a pc in the same room but the amp only has one optical input.
Could I use a splitter to combine the 2 cables like such: http://www.cabling4less.co.uk/category.php?cat_id=268
I am asuming that my amp would automatically pick up the pc when the sky box is in standby as there is no output from the sky box on standby?

I would assume so, but I would check that there is NO o/p from the box in standby. My amp is the same and I might try this as well (Just picked up a spare cable form my local poundland!)

I just douple checked this and there is definitely no output from the sky box on standby. You can clearly see the red light at the end of the cable switching on and off when the box is switched between standby and on.

I would have used eBay anyway as I would need a 10m cable and only on eBay have I seen those for £4.99 with free delivery.
