Thunderbird 3 released but bug when used with Kaspersky

I tried downloading and installing Thunderbird 3 - hadn't noticed it's release until today,
But there was a problem that I tracked down to a clash with
"Kaspersky anti-spam extension causing blank window problems with Thunderbird 3 upgrade "
here on the Mozilla Forms

So I suggest that if you have  Kaspersky you hold off upgrading until the issue is fixed.
The older release 2 is here:

may be worthwhile downloading that first as insurance.

I downloaded TB3 about 2 weeks ago.  Can't say I like it and am thinking of switching back to TB2.  Some add-ons are not compatible either so it's worth checking first.

Yes I've heard that from several people - including Bob P here
Some have said that it grows on them.
I'm sticking with 2 for a while.
